Choosing Your Perfect Wedding Venue

When it comes to your special day, you forget all about the planning, the long days and the hard work that has gone it to organising your wedding and wedding photography. One of the vital parts of planning your wedding is finding the venue that is perfect for you and you partner to tie the knot and celebrate at. This is a big decision you need to get right and it’s one of the very first things you need to do in order for everything else to fall into place.

It’s very easy to become overexcited and maybe feel a bit overwhelmed. It’s important that you ask all of the right questions to ensure that the venue can acter for all your needs and your guests’ requirements.

Choosing Your Location

The first step to happiness… whether you choose to get hitched nearby to where you are living, where you are originally from or somewhere very different it’s important that you narrow down the search to a certain location. Both the interior and exterior have got to be right, when you are paying a large amount of money you can’t afford to not be completely happy with your venue. If you are having your wedding with a small group of people or large, the venue needs to be able to hold the amount of people and your guest list and more for the evening if you choose to open it up to others.

Where will your guests be coming from? Yes, it is your day and your guests will be prepared to travel to watch you become husband and wife, wife and wife or husband and husband but it doesn’t mean that you can’t find somewhere that I reasonably distanced from everyone.

Does It Fit Your Theme?

The venue, will it help to enhance the overall aesthetic of your day? Does it have that drop, dead gorgeous backdrop you were looking for? has it got character? Is it too modern? These are all questions you need to think about and seriously consider before you pay your deposit and start making plans.

The venue can also influence the type of wedding dress or suit you go for. Also think about when you are planning on getting married. Winter, summer autumn or spring, you really do need to think about every last detail.

The Finer Details

You MUST ask all the question. What they allow and don’t allow. If there is accommodation on site for your guests, what’s included in the package, how long you have the venue for so you can set up and clear away.

Most important of all, you need a wedding photographer to capture every special moment of your big day and that is where I can help. From saying I do until your last dance, my wedding photography package will cover everything you need!
